August 18th saw me at Mayfair Lakes in Richmond for the wedding of Mardi & Paul. Mardi is the sister of a great friend’s of ours, so I was really looking forward to photographing their wedding! We had a crazy heat spell for the few days leading up to the wedding so I was so happy to arrive at the golf course to a cloudy and bright sky with much cooler temperatures.
It was touching to see how hard it was for Paul to maintain his composure before Mardi and her Brother-In-Law Tony walked down the ailse. Let me tell you, these two newlyweds could not stop kissing each other! Paul’s 97 year of Grandma toasted (but more like roasted) Paul in a speech that brought the house down and Mardi’s bridesmaid Shelaine had one of the best toasts to the bride I have heard in a long time!! You can tell there is a lot of love around Mardi and Paul from all their friends and family.
A big thank you to my second shooter for the day, Larissa Addison! She was a big support to me and her images are amazing, as always!! Thank you as well to Mardi & Paul for having me capture their day. I hope you will treasure you pictures always. :)
You may have seen this little man’s Mom’s maternity session in my last post, so I was very exctited to meet Walker last week. I don’t think I have ever photographed a baby that smiled so much during the session. I’m not blaming gas on this smiley guy, he’s truley happy to be here!
Every day the sun shines in these late fall months, is an amazing day! Sunday was no exception. I met up with this super family down at Blackie Spit in Crescent Beach for some family photos. What a great group! I have to admit, even though I love taking pictures of kids, it was a nice change to photograph a family of adults. Especially on such a chilly day as Sunday. Thanks everyone for a great session! I hope you enjoy your photos!
This weekend I finally got a chance to go out and photograph some of our bestest friends! This session has been a year in the making, the weather just never cooperated or our lives were so busy, but finally we did it!! I am so glad we did too! It was a fun yet very blustery day wandering around Fort Langley. These guys are big time into softball and wanted to play around with that theme a bit, so we took a little time to have some fun and portray that! I think the results are pretty good :)
Thanks guys for coming out! I’m so glad you braved the wind, cold and your own colds to do so! xoxox
The sunny days are starting to fade and the rain is moving in. Saturday was gorgeous out and I am so glad I was able to get out and meet this family for their family portraits. The P family was a refferal from a great friend and I am so glad I got to meet them! Talk about amazing little girls and Mom and Dad are super nice people! I love getting to know people over the course of their session and walking away knowing that there are truley some awesome people in this world!!
As a photographer, nothing makes you feel like you are doing a great job than when your clients keep on coming back to you to have you capture their life’s milestones. That’s how it is with this family. I photographed Mom and Dad’s wedding 2 years ago, then their first son’s newborn shots and last week they came back to the studio so I could capture son #2!
Mr Liam was a dream to photograph. Unlike his very non-sleepy brother’s newborn session, this little guy went to sleep almost right away and stayed asleep while I posed him in various postitions. It was wonderful!! Big brother Gavin came along as well and was more than happy to sit for a few adorable photos.
I have been looking forward to meeting this gorgeous gal ever since a noticed a little bump in her Mommy’s tummy. Her Mommy is my nail tech and I loved seeing how much Amy’s tummy grew between my visits. Finally this sweet girl arrived, on her due date no less!! I love how much hair she has and she is very alert already! She’s so beautiful and I think she looks just like her Mommy!!
As promised, here is the full sneak peek of Mr B’s session!
I have now had the honour of photographing the first days of my old friend Janice’s two children! I photogtraphed her first son way back when I was just starting my business and last week her latest little guy came to visit me on my birthday for his own newborn session. Big brother Nate also came along for some photos as you may have saw in my last post. He was very excited to show off his new brother, and when he wanted to hold him, he meant NOW!!!
I’m taking a little long weekend this weekend to celebrate my birthday and enjoy our friend’s who will be staying with us’ company! So I know that Mom is dying to see something of her gorgous son I photographed on Tuesday. She here is two for now. More to come next week!
