Its been 2 years since I have photographed one of my favourite families and just going back to their last session, its so amazing to see how much the kids have grown! Time flies and when you aren’t looking the young toddlers you once have turn into intelligent little people with their own thoughts.
These 4 kids are so fun to photograph, 3 out of 4 have this crazy amazing shade of blue eyes, like Mom. And one, has this beautiful shade of green! I really could photograph them all day long. If they’d let me.
Anyways, enough gushing. Onto the reason you stopped by!
As promised, here is the video that goes along with the cake smash I photographed last week. Matt did a fabulous job and I have to admit, I’ve watched the video a few times already! I really think its a great pairing for a cake smash because as fun as the pictures are, the live action is equally as fun! Matt and I have this option as an add on to the cake smash session I offer and if it is something you would be interested in for your child’s session, please let me know!
On Friday I had one of the most fun and messiest cake smashes yet! My friends Deb and Matt came out with their little girl to smash some cake, and boy did she ever!! Matt is the one who created the great cake smash video last year and I am really looking forward to what he puts together with this one! I like the idea that Deb brought Anea hungry for lunch and lunch was cake. It was gobbled up like nothing I’ve seen!
This little Mister turned 1 yesterday and to celebrate, came into the studio today to smash some cake! I have to say, this was the cleanest smash ever! He didn’t even need a bath after!
It was a short session but incredibly sweet! I am always amused at how once a little icing gets on these little guy’s feet, the game is over. Today wasn’t much of an exception for Dreyden. He handled this whole situation very well and got some great practice for this weekend’s party!
Thanks for coming in today! R and J! It was great to see you guys again and meet Dreyden!
Nash was in the studio yesterday for his 1st Birthday Cake smash. His brother came for his last year but this session, we had no tears! Mom and Dad were very excited to come back and Nash had big smiles for me the second they walked through the door!
Look at his gorgeous gorgeous eyes! Oh my goodness!! And he is a spitting image of his Daddy!!
I had Marcy from Marcy’s Custom Cakes make this smash cake. I turned out so great and seeing that the family are huge Canucks fans, we all thought a extra logo touch would be fitting to the blue and green dots.
The little dots were a big hit! Nash enjoyed picking them off and tasting them. The blue ones seemed tastier. And for the final shot, a little pulverization!
What a fun session, I just love the cake smashes! Thanks so much for coming in today! I hope Nash had a great party!
Well today is Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The last time the Canucks went this far, I was graduating from high school. Now I have 3 little fans who are vibrating with excitement for tonight’s game. So what did I do this morning? Sent them to school like this:
Last week I had this little princess in the studio for her newborn session. A sweet little pea at 8 days, she slept through the entire session. She was 6 lbs 2oz at birth but boy is she strong!! I can’t get over how much she looks like her big sister even throwing off dirty looks just like her. Her hair reminds me of her brother and I am so greatfull to be a part of this one’s life :)
Yesterday I had sweet G into the studio for her glamourous 6 month session. What a smiley and happy little girl and she’s clearly the apple of her Grandma’s eye! We had a great time and G was amazing through the whole session! I can’t wait to see her for her 1 year session!
I kicked off the 2011 wedding season on Saturday second shooting for my lovely friend Carol from Kacey Jane Photography. I was very excited to get back to the wedding season and even more excited by how GORGEOUS the day turned out to be. What a treat for everyone.
Eric and Jan’s beautiful Easter Weekend wedding was held at the Chateau Cargill in Surrey and then we headed out to Historic Stewart Farm for the bridal portraits. Like I said, an amazing day! The whole wedding party was so great and super relaxed. In fact you can say that about the whole wedding! Great and super relaxed! Congrats Eric & Jan! I really enjoyed being a part of your wonderful wedding!
Make sure you visit Carol’s blog to see more awesome images from the wedding!
Friday night saw me filling in as the house photographer, this time for the Red Robinson Show Theatre for the Peter Noone of the Herman’s Hermits meet and greet! What a great man! Very kind and attentive to all his fans. He’s been in show business for a most his life and he’s clearly still loving it! Here are a few favs from the show.
